Messaging Builds Momentum In 1993, Nokia released the first full line of SMS-capable phones, and by 2006 more than 200 million Christmas Day messages were sent in the UK alone. The Business of Messaging Today, messaging is a giant business that brings in 115 billion dollars worldwide each year.
