Apple held an event today in Cupertino to announce new versions in several of their product lines. The iPad Air, iPad Mini, iMac, Mac mini, iOS 8, and OS X all got refreshes. We’re taking a look at what we got, and what we didn’t.
iOS 8.1 and OS X 10.10 Yosemite
Monday will see the release of iOS 8.1. which will enable Apple Pay and bring back the Camera Roll that everyone missed when 8.0 arrived. It will also include a public beta of iCloud Photo Library.
OS X 10.10 Yosemite should be available for download today, at an upgrade price of free. It brings a user interface with a more iOS-like look, Continuity for new links with your mobile devices, and a lot more.

iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3
The iPad Air line got a new model that’s 18% thinner, with a new processor for 40% better CPU performance, and the same Touch ID abilities as the iPhone lines. There will also be an ability to use Apple Pay, but only for online purchases (no NFC capabilities). The iPad Mini 3 brings Touch ID and a gold finish option, but other than those, it’s pretty much the same device as the iPad Mini 2.

27-Inch iMac with Retina 5K Display and New Mac mini
If the new iPad Air 2 didn’t get you excited, the super high-resolution iMac might. It’s got a 5120 x 2880 display which gives you 67% more pixels than a 4K display. It’s available with a quad-core 3.5 GHz or 4 GHz processor, and pricing begins at $2499. Finally, the trusty old Mac mini got an update, with the entry-level machine offering a 1.4 GHz dual core processor 8GB of RAM and a 1TB Fusion Drive at a price of $499.
