hrm, I just realized there are no summary links and such. Can we get those back here? Or are they going to be more prominent on the revision3 site?
which leads to another question, the diversion of this, and the revision3 hosted site. Seems like a bit of double work? Though, I’m not a fan of the forums type discussion for each episode.
Anyway, back to paypal… have you guys looked at google checkout? granted, trading one giant for another… but an alternative nevertheless.
I hate paypal as well, but until I can find a better alternative… not much of a choice. even with google checkout, people don’t like google.
Hi Cali, great show as usual!!! The other day Pay Pal removed my credit card from my account. Hmmm, interesting. I wonder if Pay Pal is looking at twitter & facebook pages??? I become a fan of & favor Opencamp & *suddenly* my credit card is removed from my account??? I’ve NEVER had a problem before & was always satisfied with their operations, private purchasing, security & protection features. But being extremely busy, I’ve yet to contact them. Something about this smells, as if another element is involved?!?!
Is in your plans to move this to HTML 5? Kind a weird situation to come here with your iPad or iPhone and have the site fail to show the episode… Geek? To be on top of things?
Would love to see this on my iPad and iPhone 4 in… HTML5.
Please Cali!
Done my bit retweeting and digging, I hope Paypal takes notice and realises they are not all powerful.
With Payclick, it looks like they are based in Australia which makes a welcome change and gives me hope they it will work in countries beyond the U.S. border, but registration shows only country available – Australia.
I am also trying to find the app mentioned but can’t find a link anywhere. Is it Geneo? Jeneyo? Geneyo? Jeneo? So many ways it could be spelled so searches have found nothing yet either, or maybe it is another app only available in the U.S. appstore.
I’ll take up the anti-paypal banner. Reading up on it now.
No links. Where are the links? You mention links in the show and say they’re here at geekbeat.tv and I don’t see links. Links. LINKS!
Zelda?
Sorry, there’s an issue with how we’re posting. It’s being worked on and fixed ASAP!
The PayPal story is at http://openca.mp/paypal
LOVE LOVE LOVE the new format…I really do like you standing and moving around…so much more enjoyable to watch. I wish the TV anchors would do this, instead of sitting behind a desk…it’s more personable and actually draws the viewer in.
Thanks again for all ya do!
Mike
Hey Cali, what was the name of that augmented reality app for the iPhone?
Many thanks and keep up the fantastic podcasts!
Adam.
Another great show as always.
I second the vote for HTML5 version of the page.
I too hate PayPal but depends on them for transactions in my online store. I would love to use an alternative, but as non-US resident I have very little options that will serve my customers worldwide. I can’t use Google Checkout and MoneyBookers is not that much better than PayPal.
I also searched for “Junalo” on Itunes without any luck! What’s up?
Here is the link to Junaio on the US store

Wow! I must say, you and Neal have pulled off an amazing new version of the show! Why did you wait so long to put out this new format? I am amazed at how much better this is compared to the previous show. I was nervous when you mentioned that you were breaking from Mevio and going to Rev3, but this has improved beyond anything expected! I’m assuming Neal was either holding back on the editing on purpose or we went of to some video editing retreat and came back with new mad editing skillz. Great Job Cali & Neal! -Fan for life!!!
* augmented reality. i’ve had layar on android for a year or so now. i don’t use it as much as i thought i would. it’s neat and all and there are a fair few services even for a small city like dublin. buses and trains are covered. the wikipedia page is neat as it shows historic sites and how close they are. when people ask to see android i show them layar but usually people are more interested in google sky map which identifies the stars as you move the phone around. tricorder now that i have 2.1 also gets more oohs and ahhs amongst nerds.
* paypal. they behave like a bank without been regulated like a bank. i’ve thankfully never had to use them as the horror stories are scattered all over the web, even their wikipedia page. there is a paypal presence on twitter but doesn’t seem to be a hashtag for #paypalsucks… yet. considering geekbeat went to no #1 on itunes podcasts they would be very dumb to ignore your complaints as you have a fair amount of clout amongst the twitterati. fingers crossed you get them sorted or find some other service.
great show as always.
/agree with others. HTML5 or youtube please. No flash.
Hi
if you meant Junaio, is not avaliable for symbian
i just checked on their hompage.
john p. & cali! better than focusing on the problem (paypal, who now have told you they jez don’t care much to do the money exchange for events), how about an easy solution? come to brownpapertickets.com. great washington-state based start-up business, very friendly to on-line, community & tech events, and a self-described “fair trade ticket” company (read: no overly huge fees like ticket master). no, i’m not employed by them nor have used them personally for an event, except to buy tickets, but i know folks who have used them in the past and simply love them (http://backfencepdx.com). give ‘em a look see.
Please, can you PM me and tell me number of far more thinks about this, I’m really fan of your respective webpage…
Cali, I really love your new show. I can’t imagine what the heck the other guys could have been thinking of, to let you go. Request, PLEASE HTML5 and LINKS LINKS LINKS and HTML5 again. PLEASE
Hahah!!!

I have noticed that car insurance organizations know the vehicles which are liable to accidents and other risks. Additionally , they know what type of cars are prone to higher risk along with the higher risk they’ve already the higher the actual premium charge. Understanding the uncomplicated basics involving car insurance will let you choose the right style of insurance policy that can take care of the needs you have in case you happen to be involved in any accident. Appreciate your sharing a ideas on your blog.
Interesting post here. One thing I would like to say is always that most professional fields consider the Bachelors Degree just as the entry level requirement for an online certification. Though Associate College diplomas are a great way to begin, completing your own Bachelors presents you with many good opportunities to various employment opportunities, there are numerous internet Bachelor Course Programs available coming from institutions like The University of Phoenix, Intercontinental University Online and Kaplan. Another concern is that many brick and mortar institutions provide Online editions of their certifications but commonly for a substantially higher cost than the firms that specialize in online education plans.
I just wanted to develop a brief message to express gratitude to you for all of the remarkable tactics you are posting on this website. My particularly long internet research has at the end of the day been paid with pleasant suggestions to talk about with my guests. I would declare that we site visitors actually are undoubtedly fortunate to be in a fantastic website with very many wonderful professionals with helpful basics. I feel pretty lucky to have encountered your entire site and look forward to tons of more cool moments reading here. Thanks again for everything.
!@!@!@Hey Webmaster@!@!@! I didn’t know a better way get ahold of so I hope you don’t mind me sending you a message you via a comment. I really like your WordPress blog, but I think that there are a few problems with your site’s theme that are causing you to miss out on income opportunities. Take a look at the Socrates WP theme (I provided a link to their website). It is by far the most efficient theme that I’ve come across to maximize earnings from WordPress blogs. Good luck and I hope you’re able to pick up some of that additional money that your current theme is leaving on the table!
I have realized that over the course of making a relationship with real estate proprietors, you’ll be able to come to understand that, in every single real estate financial transaction, a fee is paid. In the end, FSBO sellers never “save” the percentage. Rather, they try to earn the commission simply by doing the agent’s task. In this, they commit their money and time to perform, as best they can, the obligations of an real estate agent. Those obligations include exposing the home by way of marketing, representing the home to prospective buyers, creating a sense of buyer urgency in order to make prompt an offer, scheduling home inspections, taking on qualification assessments with the loan provider, supervising maintenance, and assisting the closing.
