Building IBM’s Watson

I was so excited to talk with David Ferrucci, one of the creators of the IBM Watson computer that we all saw on Jeopardy. The first thing to know – Watson is actually a bunch of computers connected together. It’s fascinating to hear about all the research that went into making this amazing system!

    Hi Cali,

Interesting interview with David Ferrucci on the IBM Watson computer that has a DeepQA technology within it.

The one piece of information I was hoping to hear from the interview is this, what operating system does Watson run? Is it an propriety IBM OS, Windows Server OS, redhat Linux OS, Unix OS. Tell me what OS makes it tick.

    Thanks,

    -Gene H
