I really miss seeing Cali on my TiVo. I know other Revision 3 shows like Tekzilla are put out on TiVo, why can’t GeekBeat.tv be one of them? Especially given the response you are already getting, I would think Rev3 could make it happen. I guess I’m weird, I like getting my podcasts on my TV, instead of my computer.
You’re not weird! We have TONS of people wanting it on TiVo….looks like we’re almost there, hand tight!
Please don’t leave the Non-TiVo 3 folks out…..
Great show. I am one of those waiting for the Tivo version. I’m curious what the process is for that. Do they review what podcasts get on there? Seems like they are slow kind of like their new interface.
“Hand” tight Cali??? Who’s weird??? Teasing U of course!!! Ok, the re-acquaintance to TiVo will be great, that’s how I first knew of you, but do you know as yet will it be back to series 2 TiVo units? I have 6 of them, 4 here & 2 at my beach house. It would cost me untold thousands to upgrade all that
Thanks!!! “B”
Hey Cali, I have you on my twitter and not sure how you got there. I was going to remove you and then read a couple of your tweets and they are good. So I looked at your geekbeat.tv website and its pretty sweet! I see you have an app for the iPhone but not for Android, my question to you is, will you be getting an Android app anytime soon? Thanks an new Fan, Dave
Cali,
We all love your show at gadget freeway. It gave us most of our ideas for our store products. It’s great to have a show that focuses on new technology in such a fun way. Please check out our iPad bag and iPad pillow. They are both one of a kind. Keep up the great show.
i just seen you today and i like you
I really miss an audio version, In the old days, there was a geekbriefradio, but also a “just the audio” version of the normal videos.
I really liked to stay updated on my bike with my simple audioplayer. If a mp3 (or .ogg) feed is impossible, do you know a on-line service that takes a video feed, and turns it into an audio feed? Would be great.
I had notice a problem with the ipod small iTunes feed, I usually get the tweet that is online I have no problem to start downloading right away but from some days ago takes like 1 day or even more to be able to download from the iTunes feed. Still the last episode my iTunes feed shows is the one with Dynamic credit cards even if I ask to find new episodes nothing is on the feed. Also I will like to have the episodes labeled like EX: “GBTV099″ cus francally I ahve no idea what number of episode Im watching.
Is there any good apps on app store to download podcast? I know you can download them Gia iTunes music store but I want a app that works the same or at least the same as iTunes on the desktop where I just hit refresh and it downloads all my shows. Do you know of any that works like that? I’ve found a few that works ok with audio podcast but I watch more video podcast than audio.
What are the prospects of being added to the Blackberry Podcast app? It seems to be closed, and won’t allow me to add a feed that is not in its directory. If not, what is the best alternative for watching on my BB Torch?
Cali,
Love your show and not just for intellectual reasons.
I’d like a paypal option so I could pay, say, twenty bucks per year.
BTW, I like PadTab better than that Wallii thingie. It’s smaller and needs no holes in the walls.
Yours, Eolake
Hi Cali,
I enjoy your show via iphone webcast and i would like to download your app, but it is only available it seems in the American apple appstore. Can you help me get your app from the Dutch appstore?
I couldn’t figure out why I kept getting errors when syncing my ipad….. no iPad compatible version of the podcast??? Awww man…..
Cali – you need to put out a geekbeat.tv calendar. My husband is a major fan – he calls you his “cute geek”. Hey – if you can entertain him that is less work for me! Thanks for all of the great reviews and for putting personality into geeks!
Hey Cali, have you changed the way you encode the xvid feed? Ever since episode 77 the sound seems to run faster than the video. It could be my ancient streamer but I only get this issue with Geekbeat. By the way, superb show – I never miss an episode!
Hi, Great show love it!
Unfortunately, the Xvid-Large (http://revision3.com/geekbeattv/feed/Xvid-Large) feeds are no longer working correctly (from just before the CES coverage onwards, and a few before that). I guess you’ve changed the processing, since I can only play it using CorePlayer (TCPMP doesn’t work with it) on my WM phone, and even then the sound is x2 the speed of the video.
I’ll switch to another format and hopefully find one which works just as well.
Just saw Andrew January 5, 2011 at 2:25 pm comment, so its the same for me.
Hey Cali,I enjoy your program at Japan.
HD Contents was changed recently 24fps to 30 fps.
I enjoyed HD contents by Old Apple TV.
But this Old Apple TV cannot play 30 fps HD.(Old Apple TV can play 24 fps)
Please revive 24 fps HD itunes link!
I’ll check into it. Sorry about the issue!!
Hi Cali – I second timc’s concern. The recent switch of your HD iTunes Apple TV feed to 30fps rendered you podcast unplayable on the original Apple TV. Only the recently-released new Apple TV can play 30fps content. Please provide the 24fps HD feed once again in addition to the 30fps feed. This is what other Revision3 shows such as Tekzilla is doing. Many thanks!
Hi Cali!
Get your show on my Tivo Premiere via your RSS feed and it is great. Is there a way to get a replay of your new live show on Fridays the same way? I am at work when you are on live. Thanks.
For now, the best way to watch the recorded version is on our website, for example: http://geekbeat.tv/gblive1
We’re working out the potential of releasing it through an RSS feed. Hang in there with me!
OK I will! I’ll check every so often for an rss feed. Thanks for getting back to me Cali! Good luck with the new show.
Cali, I love your show, good to hear news about RSS Feed for live show, I been trying to watch it since you started however like most people work till 5 on Fridays. Keep up the great work, love your scene of humor and your love of all gadgets like me
Hey why I watch you all the time on my Google Tv I think that is all it is good for at the moment, but that is all i need. I use the Logitech Revue. I purchased it the day it launched (errr), but hey what ever everyone makes mistakes. Anyways you should mention the Google Tv up there also it would be pretty cool if you let me do Review of the Logitech Revue for you.
Up to 180 days ago GeekBeat.tv was on Mediafly now nothing, I enjoyed watching it on the big screen. Any plans to get it back on Mediafly? I can get te RSS feeds but nothing for the TV.
Hi there!
Just got you back into my Conceptronic.net mediaplayer
