Leap Motion ControllerIt’s a week for gesture-control news. Yesterday we told you about the Myo wristband that reads muscle activity and converts it to computer input. Today there’s word that the Leap Motion Controller will ship to customers who have pre-ordered through the site starting May 13, and if you want to go the brick-and-mortar route, you can look for it at Best Buy (the exclusive launch retailer) on May 19.

The controller reads gestures in the air above it and allows touch-free command of Computers running Windows 7 or 8, and Mac OS X 10.7 or 10.8 (Lion or Mountain Lion). The company will also be providing access to Airspace, an application store dedicated to software that takes advantage of the Leap Controller.

The pre-order price (which is still available) is $79.99, plus $8.99 shipping charge, or you can wait a few days and get it at Best Buy. Pre-orders will be shipped in the order they were received. You can also pre-order at BestBuy.com now for $79.99 with free shipping.
