Logitech K810 Keyboard Lets You Pair Up to Three Devices

Logitech K810 KeyboardMost of us are multi-device people – phones, computers, maybe a tablet thrown in. And keyboards, if we use them with each device, are going to be different for every one. Which can be jarring, moving from one to another, and also awkward, if you’re trying to use the keyboard for your tablet at the same desk where the keyboard for your computer is already taking up real estate.

Logitech K810 Keys

The Logitech K810 is a Bluetooth keyboard that tackles this problem by juggling devices, allowing you to pair it with up to three devices and switch between them by hitting a key.

The K810 is specifically designed for Windows 8, with a dedicated Windows Start key, but it’s also compatible with Mac OS X, Android and iOS devices. It recharges with a USB connection, and Logitech says it can go 10 days (2 hours typing a day) between charges. Back-lit keys enable typing in the dark, and the back light is switched on using a hand proximity detector. The K810 is expected to go on sale in the U.S. this month and in Europe in November, and will cost $99.99 USD and £89.99 in the UK.

UPDATE: You can get the K810 now at Amazon for $60! Very much a recommended device!

  1. Designed for Windows 8, works with iOS, how about Mac OS X compatibility?

    • Logitech tells us that this is indeed compatible with Mac OS X.

Any idea how that’d work Dave? As in what about about the option, cmd, etc. keys for OSX?

        • Unfortunately, no. The official literature doesn’t mention OS X, but Logitech did confirm for us that it would work – but it may not work well, which may be why there’s no official mention.

What an amazing idea! Like most geeks, I carry 3 or 4 devices on me all the time. I am an admitted Logitech fan already, so I am definitely getting this good looking keyboard as soon as it’s available.
