Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover Gives iPad Keys in a Very Compact Form Dave Peterson April 18, 2012 News 4 Comments 0 Shares Google+ 0 Twitter 0 Facebook 0 LinkedIn 0 Reddit 0 Pin It Share 0 Buffer 0 0 Shares × The capabilities of the iPad have an increasing number of people considering using it rather than a notebook computer for their work. Depending on what you do and how much raw power you need to bring to the task, this is a potential but most people still feel more comfortable on a conventional keyboard than typing on a tablet’s glass screen. But keyboard add-ons tend to add considerable bulk to a tablet, somewhat defeating the original intention of a sleek, light device. Logitech’s Ultrathin Keyboard Cover is looking to make carrying that keyboard add-on as painless as possible, with a design that looks just a little thicker than the iPad itself. The keyboard is designed to be a protective cover over the tablet’s screen, attaching to the same magnets that hold other screen covers to the iPad. Although the cover hinges closed over the tablet, the iPad needs to be removed and set into an angled notch for it to stand up at a typing angle. Connection is made via Bluetooth and the keyboard contains a rechargeable battery that Logitech says will last 6 months on a full charge. Exact size and weight specifications are not yet available. The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover is available for preorder now on the Logitech website at a price of $99 USD. 0 Shares Google+ 0 Twitter 0 Facebook 0 LinkedIn 0 Reddit 0 Pin It Share 0 Buffer 0 0 Shares × 4 Responses Dan Lott April 18, 2012 I prefer my Apple Wireless Keyboard–it even works great on my Android. chris c thompson April 18, 2012 yes, yes. where can i get my hands on one of these. goodbye zagg!
