If you’re looking for a way to watch your television service while away from your TV, Sling Media has a couple of new options for you to consider. New Slingbox devices will allow users to receive their regular cable or satellite programing to any Internet-connected device, as well as receive content from mobile devices.
Slingbox 350
The 350 is the new base model, providing 1080p resolution, Ethernet connectivity, and the ability to view your regular TV content remotely, over the web or through an app on your phone or tablet.
Slingbox 500
The big feature of the top-of-the-line 500 model is a new ability called SlingProjector that allows the box to be a receiver rather than just a transmitter. SlingProjector will allow users to send content from devices such as phones to the Slingbox 500 for display on the connected screen. It also adds built-in WiFi and the ability to view additional stored media through a USB connection.
The new Slingboxes will go on sale October 14, available from the Slingbox site as well as Amazon and other retailers.
