PhotoPlus Expo 2012 – CamRanger

Most of us have seen remote camera shutter releases. I think every photographer has one in their camera bag. There are a ton of different models out there to choose from, as well. But I bet you haven’t seen one quite like this before. It is called the CamRanger, a stand-alone device that connects your Canon or Nikon DSLR to your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch wirelessly via an ad hoc network. But this isn’t your ordinary remote shutter release. Yes, it does that, but you can adjust ISO, focus, white balance, see thumbnails of photos, can download photos into your iPad or even zoom in on a particular part of the photo. And it does much much more. I will let the creator of the CamRanger, Dave Pawlowski tell you all about. Check out the video.
