ReadyCase Launches Multi-Use Case on Indiegogo

Almost everybody is familiar with the idea of a multi-tool, a pocket knife that that gives you multiple functions in one package.  What about a multi-use case?  An Indiegogo project called ReadyCase aims to provide just that.

So what exactly does that case provide?  Well, there are three main items which are multi-function in their own right.  First off is a lens mount similar to the OlloClip.  They are offering macro, fisheye, wide-angle lenses.

The second is a 4-in-1 multi-tool blade with a bottle opener, flathead screwdriver, and serrated/standard blades.  Very low tech, but if you need your beverage or a box opened, all you need to look for is your iPhone.

The final piece is a 8 or 16GB USB2 flash drive.  The drive can also be inserted into slots around the case to act as a kickstand in both landscape and portrait.  The landscape channel at the top even acts as a clip for your headphones.

If all goes well, ReadyCase is projecting shipping products by February 2013.  The ReadyCase will be available for both the 4/4S and the new iPhone 5. Blades come in either silver or black. The funding campaign ends on October 24th.

You say the ReadyCase is launching in February 2012, but I suspect you meant 2013.

  2. Anonython says:

Don’t think you’ll be able to get through TSA with that thing…..

    It’s a great idea tho’.

    • Benjamin J. Roethig says:

Yeah, I would advise leaving the blade part at home if traveling.

  3. Tim Stanley says:

Same thought about TSA. Now we’ll have to start removing our smart phones from their cases in line.

  4. Case says:

Good idea but should have more shock proofing capabilities or separate brands (slim, shockproof, ect). Hope you get enough investors.
