Say No to CISPA

What is CISPA?

CISPA essentially serves one main purpose. It gives the US government the ability to get your personal records from basically any Internet service provider. The kind of information that in any other form would require a warrant.

1,000,000 People with Access to Your Personal Data

To put it in perspective, there are about 800,000 local law enforcement officers in the US, and another 120,000 federal agents. Include all their support personnel and we’re talking about well over 1 MILLION US citizens who could gain access to your personal data across the ENTIRE web without a warrant.

Freedom is Fragile

Freedom is a fragile and delicate thing. It’s also the most precious gift we have to pass on to future generations. Much more valuable than security. So let’s not trade one for the other.

What You Can Do

The best thing you can do to stop CISPA is sign the White House petition.

The petition has already met the necessary 100,000 signatures, but we should push it up to the #1 spot to let the President’s team know there is wide opposition to this bill. Remember, the President is the last line of defense with the power of Veto.
