You know the drill. When watching a movie or TV show at home, you suddenly wonder, “Who is that actor?” Out comes the phone and a trip to IMDB later you have your answer. So, what if you didn’t have to make the trip?
Shazam (iOS and Android), the app that answers the question “what song is that?”, has set its sights on television. The company has announced that it is adding the functionality to tag any U.S. television show. The app has previously been able to bring back information on selected shows and ads, but now it’s been expanded.
Information you can bring back includes music used in the show, cast information, links to IMDB and Wikipedia entries for the show, and more.
