Our friends at TYLT have released a couple of new Qi enabled chargers. The aptly named VU Wireless Charging Car Mount will mount via suction to your dash. It’ll then hold your smartphone. Unlike other options, the TYLT will charge your device. It’ll work with phones with up to 5.7″ displays. That would include the Note 3 & 4. Also announced was the VU SOLO. It’s a small and affordable surface-mounted charger. It features an anti-slip surface and also includes the macrocell suction base so neither it nor your phone will move.
The VU SOLO will cost $39.99 while the VU Wireless Charging Car Mount will cost $79.99. Both will ship later this year.
TYLT Expands Wireless Charging Lineup With VU Wireless Charging Car Mount & VU SOLO
TYLT’s latest accessories are perfect companions to Verizon’s new Motorola Droid Turbo.
October 28, 2014–LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–TYLT, a leader in portable power and wireless charging, today revealed two new accessories: the VU Wireless Charging Car Mount, a hands-free car mount that doubles as a wireless charger, and the VU SOLO, a compact single-coil wireless charging pad. Both devices are ideal for use with the new Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo, Google Nexus 6 and Lumia 830.
Simply place your Qi-enabled smartphone on the VU Wireless Charging Car Mount to initiate charging – no need to plug in your phone. Its three overlaid charging coils ensure your phone will connect and charge regardless of its size or orientation, and its spring loaded arms securely grip phones with up to 5.7 inch displays. Mount the device to your dashboard or windshield with the strong Micro-Gel suction cup, and position your phone in horizontal or landscape view with the 180-degree rotating mount.
The perfect traveling companion or desktop accessory, the VU SOLO makes wireless charging easier than ever with its patent-pending alignment ledge, a physical marker that shows you exactly where to place your device on the charging pad to align it with the Qi coil and initiate charging. Any micro-USB cable will power this charging pad, which provides full speed 1 Amp charging delivering 5 watts of power to your device once connected. The SOLO features an anti-slip silicone surface, 5 foot charging cable, and a micro-gel suction base.
The VU SOLO ($39.99) and VU Wireless Charging Car Mount ($79.99) will be available for purchase at www.tylt.com in Q4.
