For a couple years now I’ve been viewing “What’s In My Camera Bag?” videos on YouTube as a way of getting recommendations for the photo and video equipment I should be using. What higher recommendation is there than using a product day-in and day-out?

I had always thought of myself as an amateur. Over the past couple years, I’ve been able to realize a life-long dream of working as a professional photographer/videographer. Today I shoot video for every one of my clients, including for nationally syndicated TV shows, my photography has been published in numerous magazines and I speak at national photography and video conferences. So I am now comfortable weaning myself off the “amateur” moniker.

Making this possible, I give a large amount of credit to the countless pros like John P and Cali for being inspirations and creating videos and post blogs where they share tips and selflessly give advice on tools and techniques. Now that I’m developing my own style and figuring out what equipment I need in order to create on screen what I envision in my mind, I’ve decided to start creating my own “What’s In My Bag?” videos to help others out there.

Well – my motives aren’t exactly that selfless. ;-) While I do hope these are interesting and provide insight to others who are trying to figure out what they need to realize their creative vision, I’d also like to get comments and advice from others about the equipment I use.

Here’s a complete list of everything that I mentioned in the video about my Day Pack. I expect be making at least 3 more videos that cover: My Shoot Bag, My GoPro bag, My Accessories & Other Things, and My Workflow.
