Ahead of the 2015 International CES Show in Las Vegas, Acer announced their new lineup of products. The products include new Chromebooks, updated Windows laptops, displays, and a new projector. Let’s take a look.
The Chromebook line has been expanded for 2015 with several new systems. Included are new models using the 15.6″ screen size common in Windows laptops. The 15″ model will come in both 1920×1080 and 1366×768 resolutions. Both are anti-glare. The 15″ Chromebooks come with an Intel Celeron CPU or an optional 5th Generation Core i3. The Chromebooks also feature AC-Wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, and USB 3.0 connectivity. The 13″ model has also been updated with Nvidia K1 CPUs and optional touch screen.
The 15″ models come with 16 or 32GB of storage and 2 or 4GB of memory. Prices start at $249.99. The new 13″ is $329.00.
V 17 Nitro Notebook
Acer’s Windows offerings start with the V 17 Nitro. The 17″ notebook features an Intel RealSense 3D camera for scanning options into 3D for 3D printing or other uses. The other specs include a 17.3″ IPS display at full HD resolution, 4th generation Intel Core i&7 QuadCore CPUs, and Nvidia 860 Graphics. Buyers can also choose up to 256GB of SSD storage or a 1TB mechanical hard drive.
The V 17 Nitro will release later in January. Price is TBA. The company also announced that the existing R13 and S7 lines would gain 5th Generation Core CPUs and AC-Wireless networking.
XG270HU & XB270HU Displays
Acer also announced a pair of new 27″ gaming displays, the XG270HU and XB270HU. Both feature a 2650×1440 resolution with 144MHz refresh rate. The XB270HU features Nvidia G-Sync technology and an IPS panel. The XG270HU features an edge to edge design and eye protection technologies.
The displays will ship in March.
H7550ST Short Throw Projector
Lastly, Acer has a new projector, the H7550ST. It has a full HD resolution that can project up to 300″, and a 300 lumen brightness. It has internal wireless Chromecast capabilities and can stream HD audio wirelessly.
Pricing on the projector is $999.
