All About the Dish Hopper

March 21, 2013 by John P.

The Basics of the Dish Hopper

The Hopper is Dish Network’s newest DVR system, allowing users to save up to 2,000 hours of television, and view their content anywhere around the house, and even out of the house on mobile devices.

Skipping Commercials with AutoHop

The most controversial feature of the Hopper is its ability to skip ads automatically in certain primetime shows. If a show has a red kangaroo, it’s AutoHop ready.

Record Up to 6 Primetime Shows at Once

Hopper has an exclusive PrimeTime Anytime feature that allows you to record up to 6 different shows at the same time during primetime from ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC.

Take Your Recorded Shows Anywhere

The Hopper allows you to take your TV programming with you anywhere. On your laptop, smartphone, or tablet you can watch your DVR recordings or On Demand channels.

Fun Extras

There are many small features, like a ringing remote. Just press the button on the Hopper and the remote will ring until you find it. Also, if you have a 3D TV you can watch the latest 3D movies.

Do you know if I can I import xvid or mp4 TV video files into the hopper and edit the metadata so it organizes with the hoppers recordings?

I really like Cali. She has amazing breasts and she’s so super hot that I can’t believe it. Greetings from Colombia. Thank you for all this videos.

I’m confused about your reference with the Hopper where you can pause the show in the kitchen and then go to the living room and unpause it – you state no other system does it yet my Direct-Tv setup has had that feature for a long time.

      Hey Rich,

I’d have to go back and look to be sure, but I think what we meant was that no other system does the entire combination of all of this stuff combined. Its possible that we didn’t read it quite right from the teleprompter if that wasn’t clear. It was a really long episode! 🙂
