Apple Wows Us with the Apple Watch

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Apple joined the rest of the mobile phone market with a big screen phone – actually two, both bigger than they’ve made before. The iPhone 6 is 4.7″ and the iPhone 6 Plus is 5.5″. They’re also bringing in NFC which enables the next big thing in their event, Apple Pay.

Apple Pay

Apple Pay is the company’s move into the digital wallet market. It runs through the new NFC capabilities and uses the iPhone’s fingerprint sensor to authorize payment. Neither Apple, nor the cashier see your payment information. It will be available at 220,000 locations at launch.

Apple Watch

The real show stealer was the new Apple Watch, their first really new hardware product line since the iPad in 2010. We’ve looked at a LOT of smart watches, and so far this looks like a very, very good one. But of course, there’s a catch – it needs to work with an iPhone. So, if you’re a dedicated Android or Windows Phone user, this might not be quite what you’re looking for. The Apple Watch is priced beginning at $349 and will be available early next year.

Moto 360 Watch

If you’re big into Android, the Apple watch might not be impressing you as much as the Moto 360. In many ways, this is looking like the best smart watch for Android users, with a round face that looks more like a traditional watch than many of the smartwatches out there. The Moto 360 is priced starting at $249.

TiVo Mega

Are you a TiVo user who constantly runs out of space for your recordings? It’s easy to do, and now TiVo has brought out a monster-sized solution for the problem. The TiVo Mega packs 24TB of storage space – 8 times what’s available in any other TiVo. It can save 26,000 hours of SD video or 4,000 hours of HD quality. All that storage comes at a price – $5,000.

The Selfie Brush

Most people’s hair could use a slight touch up before taking a selfie, so integrating a brush into the process makes some sense. Meet the Selfie Brush – it’s both a normal, functional hair brush, and a holder scaled to the iPhone 5 and 5S that’s perfect for taking selfies – after you’ve made yourself beautiful! If you need to get your hair trimmed first before taking a selfie, you must make sure to only use quality tools such as Hair Cutting Scissors Australia.

There was a lot of misinformation in this podcast. It’s well proven that more megapixels doesn’t always mean better photos. Apple Watch will be able to run 3rd party apps, even Google apps. Apple is pretty realistic with battery life numbers too.

There may be some spin there but the truth is that Apple is about to get everyone to use NFC.

So Apple got all the places already accepting NFC to accept NFC. Cause Apple just created NFC. Sounds like Apple spin.
