Bicygnals Make Your Bike Safer and Slightly Evil-Looking

December 9, 2010 by giovanni

Is something missing from your bike? Maybe a little something to give it that Cylon vibe? Well fear not, you can give your ride that sinister feel, while blaming it all on safety-consciousness. Don’t you love it when a plan comes together?

Bicygnals are a turn signal and marker light system that recognizes cyclists are in the thick of traffic and anything that can make you visible and communicate your next movement are a good thing. Control buttons are placed at the ends of the front unit, so you can easily reach them without taking your hands off the grips. They’re powered by 4 AA batteries in the front unit and 4 AAA batteries in the rear (batteries included). The front and rear units communicate wirelessly at 2.4 GHz, and the two units fit together easily, so you can take them with you when you park your bike somewhere.

You can pick these up for for £44.95 in the UK at the Bicygnals store or for $69.95 in the U.S. and Canada at the Cycle Force Group store.

    Hello Dave,
thank you for an informative article that was well written.

“Don’t you love it when a plan comes together?” <= Fan from the A-team a long time ago? It just gave me a flashback of good times back then and less fast moving world. 🙂

    Take care and greetings,
    nick
