Blue Line Innovations Launches EnergyCloud Web Platform and Mobile App

July 20, 2015 by John P.

There’s good news on the horizon for anyone looking to keep an eye on their energy usage in real time. Blue Line Innovations is announcing the release of a new monitoring service called PowerCost Monitor that combines a bit of hardware with mobile apps to allow clients to view real time and historical usages stats.

We’ve already spoken with the company about getting a demo unit to try out at the Geek House, and when it arrives we’ll give it a full review and publish test data to show how it works. Check it out below, and stand by for a full review.

Blue Line Innovations Launches EnergyCloud Web Platform and Mobile App

Blue Line EnergyCloud App
Ottawa, Ontario – July 20, 2015 – Blue Line Innovations is excited to launch their EnergyCloud web-based energy portal and mobile app. This is the latest offering for users of the PowerCost Monitor to understand their electricity usage through a secure platform that collects electricity readings from connected homes via the PowerCost Wi-Fi Bridge device.

The EnergyCloud mobile app allows you to view electricity usage in real-time, receive alerts that require attention, such as a low sensor battery condition, and allow users to subscribe to and share their electricity data to advanced third party analytics apps.

The EnergyCloud app provides simple, intuitive, guided setup of your Wi-Fi Bridge device, and basic charting to view your electricity usage in real-time. You can also view your “Right Now” power as well as this month and last month totals including your “phantom load” or “always on” power usage. The iOS version is available for iPhone 4S and later, with an Android version coming soon.

“Blue Line Innovations’ EnergyCloud mobile app is a great complement to the PowerCost Monitor for being able to view your home electricity usage,” said Gerry O’Brien. “The app allows users control of their data whenever and wherever they want access.” But when disaster strikes, they can contact professionals like a commercial electrician.

EnergyCloud Report
The Wi-Fi Bridge device can be purchased as an add-on for the PowerCost Monitor or as a stand-alone product bundled with the patented Blue Line optical sensor. The PowerCost Monitor along with the Wi-Fi Bridge is a wireless, portable, real-time energy reporting system for the home and small business.
