Best of CESlive: BMW Talks Connected Car Technologies at #CES2015

January 15, 2015 by giovanni

BMW had a lot to say about the connected technologies they’re working on when they talked to us at CES 2015. They have crash avoidance so good they invited CES attendees to test drive and TRY to crash it. Nobody could. Then they talked about what they call “your second dashboard”, your tv, where you can plan your trips. Then there’s the mobility dashboard, which helps you plan routes using all sorts of transit options. They integrate with your calendar to give you route options on the couch or on the go. A remote app for cars shows charge remaining in electric vehicles. The Mobility Agenda app gives nav guidance on the phone and smart watch. There is no current announcement on when products using these technologies will be available.
