#CESLive: BlackBerry on the Features of BBM 2.0

January 15, 2014 by Dexter

Cali and Kevin Michaluk met up with Alex from BlackBerry to talk about BlackBerry Messenger 2.0. They’ve got some great new features coming to the platform. Quickshare will let you share attachments, contacts, integrate with Dropbox, and integrate with Glympse. Channels are “an immediate call to action.” Brands and companies can broadcast to channels and they are received like any other BBM. You can have “subscribers” on channels much like followers on Twitter. You can immediately see how many people have seen your updates as you post them to channels. BBM2 is coming to BlackBerry, iOS and Android in the next few weeks.
