#CESLive: Sphero

January 15, 2014 by Dexter

John and Daniel talked to Ian Bernstein and Adam of Sphero to talk about the Sphero 2.0 and how they’ve turned it into basically a real-world video game, where playing with the Sphero through various levels earns you score and unlocks things such as higher speeds as you go. It features the voice of Star Trek’s Brent Spiner to guide you through the game.

They also have a program called Sphero Rangers, an educational program for schools using Sphero as a teaching tool.

They’re debuting a new product, Sphero 2B, which is more of a cylinder and is capable of moving at more than twice the speed of Sphero 2.0. It’s very customizable with different types of tires and materials and colors, and is built entirely for racing and speed.
