Today, as part of their blog post touting the increasing use of Google Docs by business, the company let out a little teaser of particular interest to people who use the cloud-based productivity site away from their desks. It seems that editing by mobile devices like Android phones and iPads is on the way. Not much detail was given, but certainly enough to get the user base buzzing:
Second, today we demonstrated new mobile editing capabilities for Google Docs on the Android platform and the iPad. In the next few weeks, co-workers around the world will soon be able to co-edit files simultaneously from an even wider array of devices.
There’s no mention of authoring abilities, but we’ll take what we can get. For now, better editing on the go is certainly a welcome improvement.
