Who hasn’t known the agony of plugging in a USB key or cable the wrong way? It’s the common experience that binds all of us in the geek community together! But now along comes Ryo, a reversible USB adapter that’s now on Kickstarter. It can’t be plugged in wrong! Just put the adapter on the end of whatever your you’re trying to connect and you can say goodbye to that everyday frustration. For a minimum pledge of $15, you’ll get a pack of three Ryo adapters – completely worth it just for the stress it will save you in the first week!

    1. This is a stop-gap measure, while we’re waiting for USB-C, which Apple has on its New Macbook. When Apple adapts something, it’s a matter of a few months to a few years before the other manufacturers follow suit.

    2. You’re simply transferring the frustration of plugging in the USB device from the ports on the computer to the port on the Ryo 🙂 Unless the Ryo adapter port (the one which accepts the USB flash drive or cable) is itself reversible.
Seriously: I have maybe 10 USB flash drives and two USB hard drives (one of which uses two connections), in addition to charging cables for my phones.
    I have two choices:
2a. Buy a Ryo adapter for each of them, which can get expensive.
2b. Share adapters with different cables or drives, which leads to my aforementioned transfer of the frustration from the port on the computer to the port on the Ryo.

    3. After several years of plugging and unplugging USB cables or flash drives into my computer, I’ve learned which way is up. Might mean I’m an idiot savant with that talent
