EPI has released a pair of new 24 and 27-inch displays under the Philips name. The new displays are both Full HD 1920×1080 and feature IPS-ADS technology which offers better viewing angles than TN-Panel displays. The displays also feature 5ms response times and 20,000,000:1 contrast ratios. For inputs, they give you HDMI with MHL, DVI, and VGA. It also features touch sensitive controls and some smart fine-tuning features.

The 24″ model costs $169.99 while the 27″ will still be affordable at $239.99.

New Philips IPS-ADS Monitor Displays Vivid Colors and Crisp Details in an Elegant Design

Fremont, California – January 29, 2015 – Today EPI announces the expansion the Philips E-line with the launch of the 24” and 27” IPS-ADS display (247E6QDSD and 277E6QDSD) which offers consumers stunning visuals wrapped in an elegant design to fit any home or office. The monitor delivers superb picture quality with IPS-ADS wide-view technology that provides extra wide viewing, making it possible to view the display from almost any angle. Unlike standard TN panels, IPS-ADS displays give remarkably crisp images with vivid colors, making it ideal not only for photos, movies and web browsing, but also for professional applications that demand color accuracy and consistent brightness. The display also features Touch Control, MHL technology, Full HD display, and Philips leading SmartImage Lite and SmartControl Lite technology. The Philips 24” and 27” IPS displays are available on Amazon.com for $169.99 and $239.99 today.

The Philips IPS-ADS Display features touch-sensitive icons rather than protruding buttons for simple monitor adjustment. Responding to your lightest touch, the Touch Control provides ease of use while also giving the monitor a modern feel. Additionally, the display features Mobile High Definition Link (MHL), which is a mobile audio/video interface for directly connecting mobile phones and other portable devices to high-definition displays. An optional MHL cable allows you to simply connect your MHL capable mobile device to this large Philips MHL display, and watch your HD videos come to life with full digital sound. Now, not only you can enjoy your mobile games, photos, movies or other apps on its big screen, you can simultaneously charge your mobile device.

The monitor’s Full HD screen has the widescreen resolution of 1920 x 1080p. It is fully future proof as it supports 1080p signals from all sources, including the most recent Blu-ray and advanced HD game consoles. The signal processing is extensively upgraded to support this much higher signal quality and resolution. It produces brilliant flicker-free progressive scan pictures with superb brightness and colors.

The Philips IPS-ADS Display also includes SmartImage Lite, an exclusive Philips technology that analyzes the content displayed on your screen. It intuitively enhances the contrast, color saturation and sharpness of images and videos for ultimate display performance. The monitor also includes SmartControl Lite, the next generation 3D icon-based GUI monitor control software which allows users to fine-tune color, brightness, screen calibration, multi-media and ID management with the mouse, while SmartContrast automatically adjusts colors and backlight for the best digital images and videos where dark hues are displayed.
