Review: Etekcity RoverBeats T3 Bluetooth Speaker

Etekcity’s RoverBeats T3 is a neat Bluetooth portable speaker that ‘just works’. For $19.99 you get a the T3 speaker, a USB charging cable, 3.5 mm audio cable, and a small black cloth bag. It’s extremely easy to carry around. I have not had any battery life issues while using it daily. The packaging is very compact and probably takes up the same space as your average cup of coffee.

Charging only took a few hours and setting up was a breeze. Just switch it to ‘on’ and you’ll find it on your phone’s settings rather quickly. Connecting to it afterwards was as easy as simply turning the speaker on. After over a week of use I can say it’s a solid speaker. It provides good enough sound for the everyday listener. It probably won’t satisfy audiophile’s ears as much as a $300-400 dollar set of speakers does, but it handles the bass well and doesn’t distort like other speakers in its price bracket.

On the lower sides of the speaker we’ve got the play/pause and Vol+/Vol- buttons, as well as the power switch, aux-in (3.5 mm port) and a mini USB port to charge. The mini USB port surprises me a bit since they could’ve easily gone with a micro USB and saved a lot of people from having to carry 2 separate cables. But after a week of using it I’ve only found myself charging it at night out of fear it might die on me the next day. So considering my charging habits, looks like the cable issue may not be that big of a deal.

Overall, Etekcity’s RoverBeats T3 speaker is a solid all-around Bluetooth speaker you can get at Amazon for $19.99.

No insight as to how the speakers controls work? No detail of the sound quality? Weak review.
