Sometimes good tech lands first in the U.S., often in Asia, and sometimes other countries get the fun stuff first. This time the UK wins out with the introduction of the Elgato EyeTV Netstream Sat, a nifty little box that connects to a satellite dish, and feeds a signal to your wireless router. From that point you can pick up that television programming on any Mac, PC, or even iPad on your Wi-Fi network. iPad reception will require the additional help of the EyeTV app, but this is another step toward freedom from wires as we watch our video content where we want to be, rather than where the television is. The EyeTV Netstream Sat is priced at £189.95 (about $300 U.S.) and the app for iPad is £2.99. Elgato is currently taking pre-orders and shipping is due to begin November 22.
