Did I say pretty penny? I apologize; at $29,499, Hasselblad’s H4D-40 Ferrari Limited Edition is actually a lot closer to 2,949,900 pretty pennies. You’d better start saving if you want this bad boy. So what kind of camera does one get for that kind of money?
Well for starters, as the name implies, it’s a limited edition run. 499 cameras will be sold with an 80mm lens, rosso fuoco paint job and Ferrari badge. It’s packing a 40 megapixel behemoth of a sensor, and features the H4D’s True Focus feature which compensates for camera shifting to keep the subject of your photos in clear view. It’s got dual storage options (CF cards or hard drive via FireWire tethering) so you can be sure to have enough space for whatever you’re shooting; possibly sports cars.
Finally, if you’re shelling out for a camera this fancy and this gorgeous, you’re going to want to show it off when it’s not in use, right? They’ve got you covered there; it comes with a glass display case too.
