Ford Talks Sync 3 at #CES2015

January 15, 2015 by giovanni

When Ford joined us for CESlive, the focus was all on Sync 3, the in-car operating system. Sync’s app link technology lets the car work with the apps on your phone to give you a personal experience. Sync 3 has a new interface which was designed with input from users of previous versions in mind, and improves on the voice recognition technology used in previous versions. It introduces the ability to do over-the-air software updates. Sync 3 equipped vehicles will be launching later in 2015.

Makes you just want to punch someone at Ford. How can he stand there and ignore the thousands of broken windows based units. And the interview , hard cutting questions. I was much better in the dark not knowing Fords direction. Ford needs to stick to their core function, making things with Bolts and nuts. Leave the software to Open source companies that can support and upgrade the units.

Fix my USB, fix the navigation, fix the missing roads, fix the goofy response feedback and fix the voice function. While your at it fix the unit so I spend less time looking at the screen and more time looking at the road. The only button I can count on is the power off button and some times that won’t work.
