GIROPTIC has partnered with YouTube to bring 360° video to the streaming service. The videos will be fully interactive. The videos are made possible via GIROPTIC’s 360cam which features a trio of 185° fisheye lenses whose video is merged into a single product. It shoots video in 2K resolution and photos in 4K.
The videos will launch later in 2015.

YouTube 360 is a new video format that enables users to shoot a 360 degree video, upload it via YouTube and allow users to playback and interact with those spherical videos by using their keyboard and mouse on their PC or finger and gyroscope on their mobile device.
The lightweight (6.3oz.) yet rugged GIROPTIC 360cam is the most versatile camera on the market. Featuring three 185 degree fish-eye lenses that are automatically merged in real-time as one stunning image through GIROPTICs unique process, the 360cam is able to produce breath-taking views from all around in high-definition (http://360.tv).
The small but mighty camera is able to capture photos with a resolution of 4K (4096 x 2048), and videos with a resolution of 2K (2048 x 1024). The 360cam can store a micro SD card up to 128GB to ensure users will be able to capture all of lifes adventures on land or by sea.
