It’ll then connect to the house PA system via dual standard RCA outputs and to your DJ’s headphones. For control, there’s a large control button. Likewise Algoriddim’s djay software is available for the Mac, iPhone, and iPad. It’ll work with your iTunes and Spotify libraries.

The DJ Connect costs $99 and is now shipping.

Griffin and Algoriddim Elevate Mobile DJ Setups with DJ Connect, Now Available

Griffin continues its partnership with Algoriddim, providing the ultimate mobile DJ setup featuring dual separate stereo outputs, pre-cueing, beat-mixing and volume control

Nashville, TN and Munich, Germany — July 10, 2014 — Griffin Technology, makers of innovative technology for everyday life, together with Algoriddim, creators of the world’s best-selling DJ app with over 10 million users on iOS, are excited to announce availability of DJ Connect for Mac and iOS devices. Smaller than a deck of cards and designed specifically to work with Algoriddim’s award-winning djay app, DJ Connect gives mobile DJs added functionality and control over the music they create and perform.

DJ Connect addresses the problem that DJs the world over have struggled with—how best to preview the next track while the current track is playing through the main speakers. This process, referred to as pre-cueing, helps DJs beatmix their music so it sounds great on the dance floor. DJ Connect allows DJs to pre-cue and beat-mix their music with premium features like separate dual stereo outputs to ensure optimum audio quality and tactile headphone volume control.

By simply plugging headphones into the headphone port in the front of DJ Connect and connecting external speakers to the RCA stereo outputs in the back, DJs can play, cue and beat-mix music directly from their iOS or Mac music libraries. DJ Connect includes a 30-pin, Lightning and USB cable, making it compatible with iPhone, iPad and Mac. The device also features a sleek yellow glow underneath the control knob that provides ambient light for DJs spinning in the dark.

“iOS devices have created new avenues by which DJs can create and share music,”said Ethan Opelt, Audio Line Manager at Griffin Technology. “We’re thrilled to continue our longstanding partnership with Algoriddim in order to provide DJs with portable and intuitive products that enhance the creation and performance of their music.”

“DJ Connect is a unique solution that allows djay users on Mac, iPad, and iPhone to enhance their experience with a high-quality audio output and stereo pre-cueing,” said Karim Morsy, CEO of Algoriddim. “DJs can now perform professional DJ sets with just an iPad running djay 2, DJ Connect, and a set of headphones.”

DJ Connect seamlessly integrates with Algoriddim’s djay app for Mac, iPad, and iPhone to give users a hyper-realistic DJ experience. Algoriddim recently partnered with Spotify, allowing users to mix songs not only from their iTunes libraries but also directly from Spotify’s over 20 million-song catalog on djay’s dual-turntable interface. With unprecedented ease-of-use and innovative multi-touch mixing features, djay and DJ Connect take DJ performance to the next level by transforming a user’s Mac or iOS device into a full-fledged digital DJ system.

Compatible with iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Mac OS X 10.6 and above, DJ Connect is available for $99.99 at store.griffintechnology.com/dj-connect. Check out the ultimate mobile DJ setup in action at http://youtu.be/keIOBEuSjnA. To purchase Algoriddim’s djay app, please visit the App Store at:
