HTTP/2 Upgrades the Internet

February 20, 2015 by giovanni

The Web’s getting a serious upgrade, the US Government is selling Bitcoins, and … the Girlfriend Body Pillow.

HTTP/2 is ready to set fire to the Internet with blazing fast speed, supercharging all those slow requests for connections that bog down every little thing you do online. Now, search for “internet service near me” to know if they are utilizing HTTP/2 connections.

Two banks in the UK are allowing smartphone fingerprint identification to be used for account access!

Samsung just purchased LoopPay; keep an eye out for announcements about this.

The US government seized 50,000 bitcoins from Ross William Ulbricht, who’d been selling drugs on The Silk Road. The bitcoins are now up for auction; does anybody have a spare $100,000 laying around?

The perfect solution to the East Coast’s frigid winter storm season is available on Amazon at last; the girlfriend/boyfriend pillow.

Great episode as always (seriously – I’ve been watching since the GeekBrief days!) – can’t wait to see how long before we in the UK get any hint of http/2!

But I had to point out one thing in the hope that you’re the kind of folks that won’t think I’m being weird! Specifically, see this YouTube vid at 2:06 – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=om7O0MFkmpw#t=126

Why do so many Americans ask people to ‘hold down the fort’? I’d say more, but the legendary David Mitchell sums it up too perfectly for me to compete with in the above YT link!!

A minor quibble I know, but an itch I had to scratch nonetheless 🙂
