Kindle Giving You Trouble? Amazon Has You Covered

December 21, 2010 by Gord McLeod

Amazon’s Kindle has some technical issues. At least that’s what some customers are saying – it seems that Kindle users with non-lighted Kindle covers are experiencing Kindle freezing and/or rebooting.

The problem apparently arises from the metal hooks that keep the case secured to the Kindle. In the lighted cases, they allow power to pass from the Kindle to the light built in.

Amazon has not yet officially confirmed the existence of the problem, but are checking into it. In addition they have told PC Magazine that refunds or replacements will be made available to anyone having a problem with a case, no matter when it was purchased.

If you have one of these non-lighted cases and are experiencing issues with freezing or rebooting, you can email Amazon at kindle-response@amazon.com to get your refund or replacement.
