Left 4 Dead Survivors Live to Reach the Mac

October 29, 2010 by Gord McLeod

Earlier this month, I wrote about Left 4 Dead 2 arriving on the Mac. I’m pleased to be able to let you Mac gamers out there know that you can now enjoy the whole story, as the original Left 4 Dead is also now available on Steam.

Those of you who purchased the L4D bundle from Steam should find that you already have L4D, you should just have to install it and that’s it. The rest of you can get it for a nice 50% discount, which applies to L4D individually and also to new purchasers of the bundle. If you held off because the first game wasn’t available earlier, today’s your lucky day!

Left 4 Dead, typically $19.99 USD, is priced at $9.99 today, while the bundle will set you back $14.99 until it reverts to the $29.99 regular price.

The games do support cross-platform play, so you’ll be able to go up against PC players as well as Mac players. So who out there won’t be able to resist some zombie slaying this close to Halloween? Let us know in the comments.
