Ever wished you were able to wear your favorite superhero costume to school when you were a kid? Chinese office employee Wang Xiao Kang decided to make what seems like a childhood fantasy a reality by building an Iron Man Mark I suit and wearing it into work.
Construction of the Iron Man labor of love took approximately three months and began as a Mark III, but was turned into the Mark I after it began assuming a larger shape. Some painstaking work and $460 dollars later, he surprised and delighted passersby on the city streets and in the office hallways. The suit is built from high density foam and metal components, and even has battery-powered fans and a functional Arc Reactor (well, functional as far as lighting up).
Check out the photos of the suit in the construction phase, as well as a video of Wang Xiao Kang taking it out for its public debut. (photos via wangxiaokang.cn)
