Using Xim is simple, all you need is your smartphone connected to the same wireless network as your smart TV. The Microsoft Xim app will automatically detect any devices connected on the same network, you only need to choose one of the available devices to share your photos in real time.
Xim also gives you the ability to share images between phones. Just load the Xim app you phone and make sure they are on the same network for easy viewing of photos with friends and family. Users can transfer files from many different services including the phone’s camera roll, Dropbox, OneDrive, Instagram and Facebook. When sharing images, activity on the current image, such as rotating or zooming, will be relayed instantly to the devices sharing the image.
Microsoft has designed Xm with a delightfully minimalist interface, which helps users quickly view all stored photos and makes is easy to choose the images with others. Any person you choose may view the images you are viewing on your mobile phone, or you can transmit your images directly to a smart TV so you and others can enjoy a larger view. This is a good option for presentations or any other situation when the screen of your smartphone just won’t cut it.
Although Microsoft Xim is an app developed with its design aesthetic geared for Windows phone users first, you can also download it for free from iTunes or Google Play depending on whether you have an iOS or Android device.
