Nothing Says Christmas Like Elf Sabers

December 5, 2011 by Gord McLeod

It’s December, and that means it’s time for YouTube to start celebrating the holiday season in its own inimitable style. Yes, it is the month for holiday-themed videos. Take Rolling Person Productions’ Elf Sabers, for instance.

It’s Christmas in an LA casting office and someone’s looking to cast elves in a new production. All’s well as the girls wait for their turn, until — uh oh — there’s only one spot left. How can this be resolved? Well, this is the internet, right? There’s really only one way this is going down. Lightsabers.

How does this duel turn out? I could tell you, but the video’s right here, so why not join  Teal Sherer (My Gimpy Life), Casey McKinnon (A Comicbook Orange, Galacticast), Megan Andry, Amy Okuda (The Guild), Jessica Mills (Awkward Embraces) and find out for yourself? And of course let us know what you think, not just in our comments but also on their video comments!

Oh yeah, I was one of the first group of GeekBeat bloggers we started with however long ago… 2 weeks? 5 years? It’s all a big timeless blur. 🙂 Cali is awesome, I’ve known her a while myself. According to some lying internet site, I joined Twitter about 3 years ago, so probably just a little less than that. I swear it feels more like I’ve been on twitter for 10 or 15 years… crazy.
