New for 2015 are Ogio’s Apollo and Ascent bags. These bags are designed to be equally at home at your office or on the trail. The bags are designed from the same rugged materials as mountain bags, like ripstop nylon, but are at the same time very attractive bags. The Apollo and Ascent have plenty of room for your laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and their accessories. They also have padding to keep it all protected from harm.

Both bags are now available. The Apollo costs $79.99 and the ascent is $20 more at $99.99

Endure Your Weekday, Survive Your Weekend, OGIO Introduces New Apollo and Ascent Backpacks

New versatile active backpacks are designed for the office, built for the outdoors, and will keep up with you every day of the week

Salt Lake City, UT – (January 6, 2015) – A dilemma young, active professionals may face is choosing between a stylish outdoor pack or a practical business case to store and protect their electronics. OGIO’s solution is the Apollo and Ascent active backpacks. The Apollo ($79.99) and the Ascent ($99.99) are now available at Ogio.com and retailers nationwide.

Growing tired of out-of-date black briefcases and the increasing need for style to better reflect their way of life; young and active professionals carry outdoor day packs to work on a regular basis. With an absence of padding in the flexible, stylish day packs, professionals incorporate makeshift protection for their laptop, but leave smaller electronics, like tablets and smartphones, vulnerable to damage. OGIO fused active style with everyday functionality, eliminating the need to decide between what you want to carry and what you need to carry.

To solve the lack of protection that plagues most day packs, OGIO’s design team integrated padded spaces tailored to the active professional’s everyday gear including smartphones, tablets and laptops. Additionally, the packs are crafted with convenience in mind, featuring an easy to access pocket located at the top of the bag and an organizational layout that allows users to carry a variety of daily tools.

OGIO designers injected the look and feel of an outdoor-friendly pack into the exterior design by tapering the shape of a traditional backpack and incorporating a slightly narrowed back panel to provide the wearer more freedom of movement. The team also used mountaineering-spec materials like high tensile-strength rip-stop nylon, to construct an authentic rugged look built to withstand the most extreme outdoor elements, as well as the wear and tear of the work week.

Our design team at OGIO is continually looking to make bags that reliably transport the valuable electronics for your life whether for work or a weekend outing, while still delivering a rugged and fashionable appeal,” says Dan Jelinek, Vice President of Lifestyle at OGIO. “Our Ascent and Apollo bags certainly fall in line with this mission, and we’re proud to release these exciting products at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.”

Whether using the packs for technical hiking, snow sports or heading to the office, the sleek new Apollo and Ascent packs will stand up to years of hard use, protect your gear, and fit your style while doing it.
