Looking Cool While Keeping Safe

We have a special show from John P. coming your way soon showing all of you how to weld. And you know John will be wearing his custom-painted welding helmet from Save Phace in that show. Safety first has never looked so good!

Update on SharePort Go Wireless Router

We told you about the SharePort Go router a couple of shows back, and now we have to update you on price – so many of you bought it that it shot up from $38 to $57 on Amazon – it’s still totally worth it and recommended, though.

Synology DS1512+ Storage System in for Review

We’ve been talking a lot about external storage and back up options and we’ve gotten in a Synology DS1512+ storage system for review. We’ll let you know what we think and how it approaches the issue of keeping your files safe.

Great Quadcopter for Under $50

John loves his helicopters, and he’s found a keeper in the Syma X1 quadcopter, currently $43 at Amazon.

DJI Phantom Quadcopter Update

Unfortunately, he’s having a few problems with his DJI Phantom quadcopter after some modifications he made – but the guys from DJI are on the case and will have it flying again in no time.

Samsung Galaxy Camera Getting a Workout

For our coverage of NAB 2013, we relied completely upon the Samsung Galaxy Camera for fast shooting and uploading of videos.

Clever Camera Strap from CarrySpeed.com

We use cameras a lot and get to experience a lot of camera straps. This one from CarrySpeed.com has an amazing feature for very quickly adjusting the strap length.

Flashlight from Redrock Micro

Lots of companies have giveaway items at trade shows like NAB, but very few are as cool and useful as this flashlight from Redrock Micro.

Versatile Camera Cage and Eyepiece from CarrySpeed

We’re also very impressed by the camera cage and VF-4 eyepiece we got from the folks at CarrySpeed.com.

A VERY High-Capacity Backup Battery

If you need a LOT of backup power in your day, the Just Mobile Gum Max Duo is an incredible solution, packing 11,200mAh into a very compact design that’s easy to take with you when you travel.

The flashlight is made by http://www.BaycoProducts.com . I’ve used them for years. They are nice for walking, flood lights you feet, forward facing spot lights the way ahead. I lost mine on my last trip. But I replaced it with a Nebo Larry Light. I clip them to the inside of my gear bags they flood the bags with light. Both are available on Amazon. Bayco makes several other Spot/Flood flashlights that are very versitile.

The wireless router is really a good update if you want wifi but what I want is the high capacity backup battery. This is really what we all need since all smartphones today drains super fast.
