Outdoor Tech has updated its Kodiak rugged portable battery line with the new Kodiak Mini 2200 and the Kodiak Plus 10000. The company is offering the new power banks through a crowd funding campaign through Indiegogo. Like the original Kodiak, the new variants are designed to protect against impacts and are waterproof up to 3 feet. The Kodiak Mini 2200 is ultra pocketable and gives you 2200mAh of power. Depending on your device, that can be up to a full charge. On the other end of the spectrum is the Kodiak Plus 10000. It offers 10000mAh to give your phone or tablet multiple full charges before you need to seek power. The Kodiak Plus will deliver power through twin usb ports at 2.4a.

The Kodiak Mini 2200 costs $30 on Indiegogo while the Kodiak Plus costs $75. You can also get the original Kodiak 6000 for $50. All versions come with a Calamari 3-in-1 charging cable with Lightning, Micro-USB, and 30-pin. The Indiegogo campaign runs through November 12th.

Outdoor Tech® Delivers the Three Bears of Portable Power with Expanded Kodiak Collection

Rugged, Dust and Waterproof Portable Power Banks Offered on Indiegogo Beginning October 13

Los Angeles, CA (October 13, 2014) – He who wields Outdoor Tech’s Kodiak holds the power of the future. Building upon the initial success of its fully waterproof, dustproof and shockproof Kodiak 6000 portable rugged power bank, Outdoor Tech® announces the launch of two new versions, the Kodiak Mini 2200 and Kodiak Plus 10000, available to the masses through Indiegogo beginning October 13.

Constructed with impact-resistant silicone that protects the Kodiak power banks from drops, and featuring an IP67 dust and waterproof rating that allows the Kodiaks to be submersed up to three feet underwater for 30 minutes, these power banks are designed to quickly and easily charge a wide array of devices in any environment.

There’s nothing worse than losing power when you’re about to get the perfect shot, close a million dollar deal or share digital assets with a new love interest. The pocket portable Kodiak Mini 2200 is perfect for that extra juice needed at the end of a long hike, a day in the mountains, an evening on the yacht or a night in a bar. Built to provide a full charge on your smartphone of choice with 2,200mAH of the good stuff, and about the size of a Zippo lighter, the Kodiak Mini 2200 will deliver enough power to get the shot, send the text, get off the park bench and call a cab ride home, or stalk your friends online.

The Kodiak Plus 10000 is made for the power hungry backcountry user. Efficiently charging a wide-range of devices from tablets, phones, POV cameras, e-readers, wireless headphones or GPS with its 2.4A output, the ultra thin Kodiak 10000 will keep your tech fueled for days. Compatible with all generations of iPhones, iPads, GoPro cameras, Samsung, LG, Amazon Fire, Nokia phones and tablets and hundreds of popular smart devices, the king of Kodiaks holds 10,000mAH of rechargeable magic.
