REVIEW: Any Geek Will Love This – Motherboard Gifts!

September 4, 2011 by Pelpina

I recently received a bunch of goodies from Motherboard Gifts, which designs and creates unique gifts that are made from recycled circuit boards. I have never seen anything like them before – and I believe any geek would appreciate these. I received a coaster set, a business card holder, and a small notebook.

The circuit coaster set I received consists of six unique coasters. They’re pieces of circuit board neatly cut in circles – who knew your cup of coffee could look so cool?! Circuit boards come in all kinds of colors, and every coaster is made of a different circuit board – it makes for a very colorful set!

The coaster set comes in a tin can which, of course, is also decorated with a round-shaped motherboard piece on top.

Business Card Case

The business card holder is perfect to impress other geeks – and hold your business cards of course. The card case itself is nothing special, but it’s high quality, and it’s sporting a unique circuit board piece on top. Very stylish!

The notebook is just that: a pretty simple notebook, but it has a unique circuit board piece on the front and back. It looks very cool, but to be honest, I would not spend $12.50 on it. Instead, I would opt for a unique motherboard clock (starting at $26.95), the mousepad ($19.95) or the coasters (starting at $29.50) — because these items would be very cool to show off while you’re using them!

And best of all, these items are all made with recycled motherboard that otherwise would have ended up in a landfill somewhere.

So, whether you’re trying to save the earth, or looking for a unique geeky gift – motherboard gifts is perfect!
