Review: EcoReco M3 Electric Scooter

October 9, 2014 by John P.

The EcoReco M3 Electric Scooter is one of the most popular review items to hit our studio in a long time. Everyone has taken a turn riding the EcoReco around the Geek House, and many of us make a point of driving it every day!

Officially, the EcoReco scooter will go 20 miles an hour, but in our testing we’ve pushed that up to 24 miles an hour – this sucker is a little rocket! It has a 250 watt motor with a 36 volt battery and it charges to about 80% in about two hours. Just to show you how fun this scooter is to ride, in the time we’ve had it (a little over a month) we’ve put 50 miles on it!

This would be a great urban commuter vehicle for getting you from an apartment to the office. I highly recommend it just because it’s so much fun.

The M3, which we are testing, runs $999, the fully-suspended (and smoother riding) M5 will cost you $1,250.

For more video of it at the Geek House, check out our unboxing and the time trials the guys ran.
