Review: Sony Action Cam HDR-AS15

August 27, 2013 by Philip Nelson

Looking to take your extreme sports and adventure videos everywhere you go? On land, under water, or flying through the air, the Sony Action Cam HDR-AS15 will ruggedize your video work at a very affordable price. For under $200 you get a camera that provides a 170-degree Carl Zeiss lens, supports 720p 120 fps which gives you 4x slow motion, as well as 60fps and 30fps, and 1080p at 30fps. Also, very importantly for an action camera, is the built-in image stabilization to keep your shots as steady as possible, and a big glove-friendly record button. It even has built-in Wi-Fi support, all wrapped into a great, ruggedized, waterproof housing that’s good for a depth to 197 feet.
