If you’re a fan of streaming video on your TV, today you have a new option for it. Roku has introduced a new generation to their popular line of streaming devices with the Roku 3. The new box replaces the Roku 2 XS in the company’s product line.
The new box carries a faster processor and the interesting addition of a headphone jack on the remote. You’ll also get a set of headphones included in the package The Roku 3 sports a more curved design rather than the straight sides of the previous Rokus.
Maybe the biggest change is a redesigned on-screen interface designed to make navigation between your channels faster and more intuitive. The new interface will be rolled out to existing Roku products in April. Go here for instructions on how to start your own Roku channel.
Like the Roku 2 XS, the 3 skips compatibility with older TVs and goes HD-only. You’ll need an HDMI port on your TV to setup the Roku 3.
The Roku 3 is available today and will cost you $99.
