Most of us would be happy to have better typing skills, but traditional speed drills are not a fun way to spend your time. Kids and adults both are more likely to spend time improving their abilities if they’re doing something they enjoy, and that is the idea behind Pad Defender. You play as a frog on a lily pad, and insects fly by with letters above them. Type in the letters and your frog will zap the bug with his tongue. Increasing levels of difficulty will make sure you keep increasing your skills with ever greater challenges.
A $10 pledge will get you a digital copy of the game which aims to become available in August. For $15 you can get earlier beta access. You can back Pad Defender on Kickstarter now through June 21.
