Skin Gun: Futuristic Burn Treatment

From the University of Pittsburgh’s McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine, Doctor Jörg Gerlach has created a fast and effective new alternative to skin grafts: the skin gun.

The video clip (from National Geographic) shows Gerlach spraying a patient’s adult stem cells onto the burn area. Applied within 90 minutes, the stem cell application heals the burn within days.

Warning: the video does contain some pretty graphic burn pictures.

    Yeah – really annoying when people tell you about something like this and you are blocked from seeing it. At least a warning that it is USA only would be appreciated…save me the time and disappointment…
