You can connect up to 4 satellite speakers via their proprietary RF technology. The speakers can be run either in mono or in stereo in pairs. The speakers will be setup using SuperTooth’s Multiroom app.
The Multiroom System will be available in a couple sets and with color options. A three-speaker system will costs $299, while the five-speaker set is $480. They will ship sometime during the second quarter of 2015.
SuperTooth Shows Off New Sub-$300 Multiroom System at CES 2015
Bluetooth-enabled, stereo-streaming sets of up to five speakers on display at CES in South Hall 3, Booth # 35629 & at CES Unveiled at Mandalay Bay
Las Vegas – January 4, 2015 – SuperTooth, leading manufacturer of Bluetooth accessories worldwide, enters a new category with the debut of its Multiroom System at CES. Streaming stereo audio and supporting up to five wireless speakers, the Multiroom System delivers a simple solution to enjoy music in every room of the house at an attractive price point.
“SuperTooth’s goal was to deliver a package of multi-room speakers already pre-installed to make the experience seamless,” said Yves Le Reun, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “For $299, a three speaker set comes at the price of a single speaker from competitors, and since the initial connection is made via Bluetooth, users have far more versatility when streaming their music.”

Unlike Wi-Fi based systems, which often require a complicated set-up process and support limited audio applications, the Multiroom System connection is made via Bluetooth. This allows users to stream music from any device using any application (Deezer, Pandora, Spotify, the Internet, YouTube, the device’s music library, etc).To get started, users simply pair their smartphone, tablet or computer with the base speaker via Bluetooth, and the base speaker then communicates automatically with up to four satellite speakers using proprietary RF wireless technology.
SuperTooth’s free Multiroom App enhances the user experience by providing total control over the home music system via any mobile device. Competitor apps are often closed, only allowing music to stream through dedicated audio gates such as Spotify, thereby limiting functionality. The Multiroom app on the other hand is designed to stream music independently from the app, only controlling the volume and set-up of each speaker – to either mono (M) or stereo mode (L for left, R for right). Depending on how many satellite speakers are connected, users can toggle between different set-up modes within the app – switching all four speakers to mono, keeping two speakers in stereo and two in mono, and so on. Adjusting the volume in pure stereo mode affects all speakers equally at the same time.

The Multiroom App also provides the option to name each speaker to identify its location within the house (kitchen, terrace, etc). Compatible with Android and iOS devices, the Multiroom App will be ready soon for download. The Multiroom System will be available in a couple different color options (black wood/grey grid/black cloth or light oak wood/white grid/grey cloth) and available as a three-speaker ($299) or five-speaker set ($480). Both sets come equipped with power adapters and 3.5mm plugs. Learn more about the Multiroom System by visiting http://multiroom-system.com. Purchase date is expected to be Q2 2015.
