One of our viewers, Gene Naftulyev, did an unboxing of the Synology 2413+ for us. Gene’s configuration called for six 4TB drives – 24TB in one box (although it will be configured for RAID, so that won’t all be for storage).
The Synology 2413+ is a network attached storage device for businesses (or other users with heavy storage requirements). It packs 12 drive bays that can handle up to 4TB per drive. On the back there are two fans, two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, 2 gigabit ethernet ports, a serial port for UPS connection, and an InfiniBand connection that will let you connect in even more expansion capability.
