Troy Hartman’s Personal Jetpack

We’ve all heard people ask, “where’s my jetpack?” It’s become a symbol of the future that seemed to be coming, but hasn’t quite arrived yet. Troy Hartman must have gotten tired of asking, because in this video he dons a pack and takes to the skies. Aerodynamics are provided by a parachute, but he has control over climbs, descents, and direction. This is “Phase 2” of testing what he calls the Personal Jetpack. Phase 1 was on skis, and you can see that test in the video below.
